The mountain hut
At the middle of the Eighties, thanks to the financial supports of the Aosta Valley region and to the commune of Ayas, the Guide’s Society engages in a new ambitious plan: the realization of a mountain hut in the Ayas Valley; the building will be inaugurated in September 1991.
The mountain hut is placed at 3400 meters on a rocky ridge, called Lambronecca, and it’s one hour’s walk far from the Mezzalama Hut. This modern building can accommodate (lodge?) 80 people and it represents a great tourist offer for the local guides and also for the mountain guides of Zermatt and Breuil-Cervinia who wants to climb The Monte Rosa peaks.
